I have attended numerous seminars on marketing a business online and one of the things I am surprised with is how little time they spend talking about YouTube. For retail businesses with a new product that people may not understand how to use (hello! The AirCut), YouTube has been a huge help. Seeing how people use our product makes them feel more comfortable using it, and the fact that we sell exclusively online, gives people an “inside look” at really what we’re selling. They understand that it works and works well, so they feel better about spending hard-earned money on it. Simply showing a picture to someone is not enough: If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video is worth a thousand pictures. You also can’t beat the price tag of free!
