Cutting Funding for Your Kids?

You're cutting what?!This week on LinkedIn, I asked people what kinds of things they were cutting back on as far as their kids went. Of course, I have a professional curiosity given my industry, but I did truly want to know. Everyone’s had to cut back in some capacity, but I wanted to know specifically where people were cutting the money spent on their kids. The feedback I received was great and I found that people were cutting everything from private schooling to CDs and DVD. I even had a response that nothing should be cut in terms of spending for children (hoping to be adopted by this couple soon). It seems to me that cutting out all of your own expenses while giving your kids everything would spoil them and would make you feel resentful as you skimp on yourself. But that’s just my opinion.

But maybe it is the right thing to do though,  maybe our children should be last place we cut spending. Maybe our children deserve it. After all, you could look at a child as an investment of sorts. You love them, too, but if they became famous and bought you a house that would not be the worst thing, either. Just good ROI, if you want to put it in those terms.

What do you think? Are you cutting spending for anything with your kids? Are you against it? Why?

P.S. We are working on a new video with owner Norm using the AirCut blindfolded. Stay tuned. 🙂
